Philip has over 22 years of pharmaceutical experience in drug discovery, toxicology/non-clinical and clinical research. Traditionally trained as a bioanalytical chemist, Philip joined BASi® as an analytical chemist in 1997, rapidly moving into leadership positions such as Director of Analytical Services, General Manager, and Sr. Director of Preclinical until reaching his present position as Vice President of Preclinical Services. Prior to BASi®, Philip worked at GFi Pharmaceuticals (now Covance Labs – Clinical Division) as an Analytical Scientist and RSO designing and validating radiolabeled and non-radiolabeled assays used to support clinical ADME studies. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Biology from Indiana University and is a member of the Society of Toxicology, American College of Toxicology and the American Chemical Society.
James Bourdage, Ph.D.
Vice President, Bioanalytical Operations
James Bourdage has more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in operations management, quality processes, staff development, bioanalytical methods, and regulated services. Prior to joining BASi® as vice president of Bioanalytical Operations, he served as executive director of Biopharmaceutical CMC Solutions at Covance, senior director of Bioanalytical Sciences at PharmAthene, global research advisor and team leader in the Experimental Medicine Group at Eli Lilly, and led a drug absorption and transport team at Pharmacia/Upjohn. He earned his PhD from the University of Illinois, Urbana, in Immunochemistry.
Chief Financial Officer
Jill Blumhoff joined BASi(r) in 2007 as Assistant Controller and has served as Director of Finance, Tax and IT since 2013. In her role, she has been responsible for all aspects of financial reporting and disclosure in addition to leading the Company's efforts in building the financial support structure at BASi. Before joining BASi, Jill held various roles of increasing responsibility in financial reporting and analysis at Wabash National Corporation in Lafayette, Indiana. She began her career at Ernst & Young LLP. Jill earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Director, Client Services
Stephanie Miller joined BASi® as a member of the Sample Management group in 2001. In 2004, she moved to the newly created Client Services Department and four years later was promoted to director. Stephanie oversees all aspects of the Client Services, including contracting, quoting and invoicing. Stephanie earned a Bachelor’s in MIS from St. Joseph's College, Rensselaer, Indiana.
Director, Human Resources
Erica Wasson joined BASi® with more than 15 years of experience in Human Resources, focused primarily in the manufacturing industry. Prior to BASi®, Erica was with Plymouth Tube Company. Her career spans the full range of human resource management, including labor relations, safety and workers’ compensation, employee development, organizational planning, recruitment, compensation, and benefits. She serves all levels of the organization to ensure the health and welfare of employees and ensures Human Resources contribute to an efficient business model. Erica earned a Bachelor’s in Management from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management and a Certificate in Advanced Leadership and Coaching from the John Maxwell Team.
Production Manager, Products Division
Jason Miller has been a valued leader with BASi® since 2006. He has held various positions of increasing responsibility including Sample Management Supervisor, Director of Bioanalytical Administrative Operations and Director of Laboratory Support Services. As Production Manager for the products division, Jason holds the critical role of ensuring that BASi’s products consistently meet the highest standards of efficiency and quality. Jason earned his BS in Business Management from St. Joseph’s College, Rensselaer, Indiana.
Manager, Product Innovation
Danielle Cohen joined BASi® in 2013 with over 12 years of engineering experience, primarily in laboratory instrument product design. Prior to joining BASi, Danielle worked as an Electrical Engineer at FLIR Systems in West Lafayette for 8 years where she helped design electronics for mass spectrometers, and as an Electrical Engineer at Zebra Technologies in Vernon Hills, IL, for 2 years where she designed electronics for barcode printers. As Product Innovation Manager, Danielle leads our Product Innovation Team in support of all Instrument design initiatives. Danielle earned her BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
